Life’s Reflection
Hazel Lee Henry, 83, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at her home in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on October 31, 1937, in Tomnolen, Mississippi to Robert L.C. Harris and Lillie Mae Williams.
Hazel grew up in Turrell, Arkansas. She spent time working at General Motors and many years in Housekeeping. She decided to spend her time as a homemaker and focus on raising her children. Her family was the center of her world. She was known for her fabulous cooking and being the life of all family gatherings. She was a kindhearted giving person who valued togetherness. She instilled her values in all her relative and leaves endless legacy.
Hazel was preceded in death by Joe Jones; her parents, Robert, and Lillie (Williams) Harris; her siblings, Marjorie Williams; Samuel Hudson; Sonney Williams; Maggie Williams; and Eva Mosby; her children, Eloise Moore; James Jones; Ray A. Jones; and Dorothy A. Jones.
Hazel is survived by her brothers, Larry Davis; and Robert Earl Harris; children, Jean Cook (Terry Cook); Jimmie Lee Jones; and Teresa Jones (Gary Johnson); grandchildren, Darren Jones; Talisa Slayton; Temika Slayton; Tashina Jones; Clarence Jones; and Danyell Jones; great-grandchildren, Anthony Jones; Antuan Jones; Adrian Jones; Andre Jones; Darrenea Jones; Stephon Henry; Divonne Jones; Porshawn Jones; Lamar Allen; Marvillie Marshall; Ta’Mya Jones; Ja’Quis Jones; JaZhavia Jones; Alfonzo Davis; Micqalle Davis; Amarion Davis; Elijah Slayden; Fazion Slayden; Tyniece Wilson; and a host of great-great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
