Her Life’s Reflection
Gloritis Diane Sloan was born September 19, 1954, to Oscar Sloan and Aline Sloan in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents and her only child, Gregory Sloan preceded her in death.
Glo as she was affectionately known attended elementary schools, D.A. Holmes in Kansas City, Missouri, and Stowe in Kansas City, Kansas, Old Northeast Jr. High School, and graduated from Sumner High School in 1972. After High School she enrolled in AVTS nursing program graduating in the class of 1973 receiving an LPN License.
Glo began her nursing career at St. Margaret’s hospital, which later became Providence Medical Center, retiring in 2020.
Glo had the heart of a servant. If there was anything she could do for anyone she, did it, which made her an excellent health care provider.
Greg was the love of her life and bought her much joy until his passing.
Her favorite pastime was attending Salem Baptist Church, singing in the gospel mass choir, participating in Sunday School, Evangelism Ministry, and the Rachel Mission Circle. COVID 19 interrupted in person worship, but she continued to worship thru Zoom.
