Life’s Reflection

George Conner Jr. born March 06, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  He was the fourth born child of George Conner Sr. and Maxine Vera Wright. He attended Sumner High School then joined the US Army on April 15, 1977.  After the US Army George worked as an over the road truck driver at Harris Trucking Company for several years before becoming employed by School District 205# doing janitorial work.  He later married Margie Smith on Dec 12, 1981, in Edwardsville, Kansas and together they had three daughters.  Then in 1991 he earned his certification in HVAC.  He then continued to work for many years in property maintenance and as a general handyman.  He married his second wife Suncia Reed around 2010, and together they had his only son.  In 2016 George Jr. moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas, where he resided until his passing.  George Jr. was always up for a good debate about anything and everything from religion to politics.  He was the type of person to always call and check on everyone.  George was a very caring and giving individual and loved to be surrounded by family and friends.  He had rededicated his life to the Lord and became a Deacon at the Floods of Joy Baptist Church.  George Conner Jr. passed away the morning of June 26, 2021, while visiting his eldest daughter’s home in Olathe, Kansas.
