Gary Hall Obituary

Born on Juneteenth, Gary entered the world on a day that symbolizes freedom, hope, and resilience.

Throughout his life, he embodied those very qualities, bringing strength, kindness, and unwavering love to his family and friends. Known for his warm smile, joyful spirit, and dapper style, Gary lived life to the fullest and had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel welcome and valued.

Gary was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, where he attended school in the KCK school district. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Quindaro, under the leadership of Rev. Wynn, where his entire family was baptized and raised. He later answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Military. Stationed in Germany, and he returned home a proud veteran with a lifelong appreciation for new places. Gary married Muriel in 1983 to that union they had one daughter Deirdre Hall of Kansas City, Ks.

He was a devoted father to his daughters, Deirdre Hall and Dana Griffie of Texas, and his son, Vernon Ray Williams of Kansas City. He was a treasured brother to Mable Brignac (Wesley) of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Cynthia Hall of Denver, Colorado. Gary’s legacy of love continues through a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Gary has been reunited with those who went before him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise I. Hawkins; his father, Albert Hall; his brothers, Derrick Hall and Darrell Hall; his sisters, Joann Hill and Rodena Thatcher; and his ex-wife, Muriel Hall.
