Geraldine Deaver was born June 12, 1934, in Dumas, Arkansas to Josh and Pearl Williams.
She grew up in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington.
In 1955 Geraldine married John Deaver in Stuttgart, Arkansas. From this union a son was born Gerald Deaver.
In 1966 they moved to the Kansas City area. They were happily married for 49 years until his demise.
Geraldine was employed as a head cook with the Kansas City Public School District. She retired in 2009.
Geraldine was so proud to be a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great-grandmother.
Some of her hobbies were shopping, Cooking, being around her son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed talking on the phone to her family. She looked forward to traveling to visit family members in Seattle and Arkansas.
In 1966 shortly after moving to Kansas City, she united with Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of R.C. Higgs and then Meredith Sullivan Serving as an Usher.
In 2010 she joined Guiding Star Baptist Church. Not long after, she became a faithful Usher until her health would not permit her to continue.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents Josh and Pearl Williams, brothers Isaac Williams and Bernard Daniel; Sisters, Helen Diggs and Gloria Harden.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Gerald (Regina) Deaver of Kansas City; sisters, Katherine Sullivan, Joshella Williams and Jettie Steward and brother Josh Williams all of Seattle, Wahington; grandchildren, LaSonya Drew, Tarray M. (Tasha) Deaver, Travis J. (Shconta) Deaver, Diane O. Deaver, Great-Grandchildren, Airieon Clark, Keirieon Clark, Montrell Deaver, Caleb Deaver, Johnathan Deaver, Grace Deaver, Joseph Deaver, Jamanii Brooms, Marquez Lyon, Konstance Burrell, Bry’ana Washington; great-great-grandchildren, K’Marion Brooms, Kayden Childress, Jakevion Freeman, Jr.; God children Maria Head, Kristy Davenport; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
