Evelyn’s Life Reflections

 

 Evelyn Louise Coggs Lee was born on October 31, 1934 In Kansas City Kansas to George and Mary Frances Brewer Coggs.

Evelyn grew up in Kansas City Kansas she graduated from Washington High School in Kansas City Kansas. After high school she began to work for William Cottage Children’s Home as a caregiver where she worked for many years.


Evelyn served on the motherboard at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ.  She also served as a member of Disciple Women’s Ministry at Fellowship Christian Church.  She enjoyed traveling with family and attending Christian conferences.  She was also a member of the Women’s Aglow Ministry for many years.

Evelyn Louise Lee, 85, Passed away on August 27, 2020 at her home in Kansas City Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Frances Coggs; her husband, John Lee Sr.; her brothers, George Coggs; Romeo Coggs; sisters, Lettie Thomas; and Josephine Kemper; her sons, John Edward Lee, and Patrick Lee.

Evelyn is survived by her children: sons, Robert Earl (Carolyn) Madison Lee of Kansas City Missouri; Curtis (Hope) Lee of Grand Prairie, Texas; Kevin (Jeanette) Lee of Little Elm, Texas; Stephen Lee of Little Elm, Texas; and daughter, Karen Lee of Kansas City Missouri; 17 grandchildren; many-many great grandchildren; and a host of nieces ,nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Evelyn’s favorite saying was

“No matter what your eyes may see, Nor your ears may hear, All is well.”
