Espanola Wallace, 88, passed away on December 24, 2025, in Kansas City, MO. She was born on November 17, 1937, in Kansas City, KS, to Willie Wiggins and Octavia Ponder McReynolds. Espanola grew up in Kansas City, KS, and was a proud 1955 graduate of Sumner Academy.
In 1955, Espanola married the love of her life, Earvin Wallace, in Kansas City, KS. They shared 47 years of happy marriage. Professionally, Espanola was dedicated to her work as an environmental specialist.
A faithful member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, Espanola, found great joy in singing in the choir. She also had a passion for traveling, cooking, and fishing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Espanola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earvin Wallace; her son, Erwin Wallace; her daughter, Sheri Lynn Wallace Johnson; her sisters, Verlee Mitchell and Rudina Combs; and her brothers, Charles Adams and Montez Adams.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Carruthers and Stachia (Donald) Elmer; her sons, Charles (Dona) Wallace and Tillman Wallace; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
