exander Andrew, 84, passed away on February 5, 2025, at his home in Kansas City, KS.
He was born on January 23, 1941, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Ferdell and Annie Hayes Andrews.
He was baptized at an early age in Second Baptist Church in Argentine by Rev. Roy Reed, and he was actively involved in the Usher Board.
Elexander grew up in Kansas City, KS. He attended Sumner High School. He was an entrepreneur and a business owner. He owned and operated a dry-cleaning business (Ideal Cleaners) for over 50 years, and retired in 2005.
exander married Lula Andrews in 1975 in Altadena, California, and they enjoyed a happy marriage that lasted 53 years.
He loved serving his community, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Elexander also enjoyed taking the time to help the elderly, especially his customers. He also loved to share the message of the Lord with everyone he met.
Elexander was preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Ferdell Andrews; his brothers, Ferdell Jr. Andrews and James Andrews; his sister, Viola Mahan; and his children, Carla P. McDonald and Tracy E. Blount.
He is survived by his spouse, Lula M. Andrews of Kansas City, KS; his daughter, Romona Andrews-Hall of Copperas Cove, TX; his grandchildren, Camile Alexandria Johnson, Amanda Monec Hall, Quincy Alexandra Blount, Violette Elexis Hall, Royale Alan Blount, Jah’Will Dachaun Black, and Jah’Von Dachaun Black; his great-grandchildren, Kevin Treyvond Johnson, Michael Jamal Johnson, Destiny Sherrell Johnson, Adrianna Ailene Johnson, and Tatiana Ailene Johnson; his special nephew, Ferdell Andrews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
