Eleanor Ann (Swain) Smith

Eleanor Ann Smith, 77 passed away on March 1, 2025 at her home in Kansas City, KS. She was born March 5, 1948 in Kansas City, KS to Ira Lee and Eleanor Helen Jones Swain. Eleanor grew up in Kansas City, KS, she graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, KS in 1966.

After high school she began work for the Gas Service Company as a Clerk where she worked for 22 years.  Eleanor retired in 1989 after 22 years.

Eleanor was preceded in the death by her parents Ira and Eleanor Swain. Brother Fredrick C Swain, Nephew Donte Wynn, Twin brother Elliot Lee Swain, nephew Fredrick Gordon. 

Eleanor is survived by her son Ronald P. Smith Jr, (Sarah Smith) , Jeanine smith ( Daughter) of Kansas City, KS. Her sister Iralene Salima Swain of New York, NY; fHer 8 grandchildren JaRon Clay, Janee’ Taylor, Jalen Taylor, JaBria Handy, Xavier Cofield,Ronald Smith III,  David Smith, Joy Smith . She has 7 great grand children Jada Clay, JaRon Clay Jr, Jailee Clay Marquise Rose Jr. , Laylani Clay, Caliah Clay, Journi Clay whom all reside in Kansas City KS. Her nephew Iman B Swain of New York, NY, and a host of other relatives and friends.
