LIFE'S REFLECTION
Donald Lee Burley was born on July 19, 1947, in Kansas City, KS to Sheridan Burley Sr. and Elizabeth Davis Burley. He grew up in California and attended school in the Menlo Park City School District. He later moved back to Kansas City, KS where he spent most of his adult years.
Donald worked in the transportation industry for several years. He was most passionate about over-the-road truck driving. Donald, affectionately known as “Duck” was well-groomed, comical, and a lover of blues music. He enjoyed spending time with family and took pride in his children and grandchildren.
Donald passed away on October 24, 2022, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Verna Elizabeth Burley, and Sherline Burley-Overton: and two brothers, Robert Burley, and Sheridan Burley Sr.
He leaves to cherish four daughters, Tammy Walker, Dana Williams-Garrett (Sanford), Tamara Walker (Anthony), and Eva Blaine-Burley of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one son, Ricky Wash; and one bonus son, Oran Wash; twin brother, Ronald Lee Burley (Maxine); one sister, Willa Mae Burley Ward (Tyrone); nine granddaughters; four grandsons; great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and relatives.
