Life Reflection

Don Doran “DA” Allen Jr. 39, of Kansas City, Kansas went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday August 10, 2021, at 11:03 A.M. at KU Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Don Doran Allen Sr. and Uncle Reginald Lee Allen Sr.

Don accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at a young age and was a member at Evangelist Center-Hope International Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

Don was born in Kansas City, Kansas on June 1, 1982, to Don Allen Sr. (Deceased); and Marquita Lewis.  He graduated from F. L Schlage High School in 2000.   Then he further his education at Highland Community College where he played football and obtained his Associate Degree.   He continued his football career playing arena and semi-pro football for Kansas Kaos.  Then later pursued his passion in comedy by creating a podcast Raise The Bar and becoming a stand-up comedian.  Don went on to work in the community by interviewing local business owners and entertainers by sharing their success stories featured on Raise The Bar Podcast.  Don also was a proud activist in the community he participated with organization as Buy Back Black LLC.

Don was joined in Holy Matrimony to Blair Allen.  He leaves behind 5 children and 2 stepchildren, Tynisha Allen; Aniyah Parker-Allen; Avery Parker-Allen; Joshua Allen; Dayanna Allen; Amourie Friday; and Taylor Friday; mother, Marquita Lewis; 2 grandparents, Ruby “Big Mama” Allen; and T. C. Allen; 6 siblings, Dominique; Yanna; Ieasha; Pamela; Austin; and Curtis; followed by family, friends, and the Sons Of God (SOG) Brotherhood.
