Reflections of Life
Mr. Darren Keith Meyers, 61, passed away on August 30, 2025, at home in Gardner, Kansas. Darren was born on October 5, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles and Lula (Jackson) Meyers.
Darren grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Washington High School in 1981.
Darren joined the army. He built nuclear weapons in 1982 and served for 3 years. He served in Peace Time. and was the recipient of many awards. He was honorably discharged in 1985, achieving the rank of D4.
Darren began work for America’s Cleaning Connection as a Lead Supervisor where he worked for 7 years. He worked for 21 years at Gill Studio from 2004 until he retired in 2025.
Darren married his wife Amy Marie Hoopper in 2014 in Kansas City, Kansas. They were happily married for 11 years.
Darren enjoyed collecting bells and going to thrift stores. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He loved his Crown Royal.
Darren was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Meyers and Lula Meyers, and his brother, Charles Clinton Meyers.
Darren is survived by his wife, Amy Meyers of Gardner, KS; his son, William Caudle; his daughters, DoNesha Tinsley-Obaseki (Osas Obaseki), Neosha Collier, Whitley Cushingberry and Crystal Caudle; his sisters, Stephanie Stafford of Las Vegas, NV, and Cheryl Meyers of Kansas City, KS; his brother, Carlos (Debbie) Jackson of Santa Maria, CA; his aunt, Jacqueline (Sylvester) Wallace; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; a host of relatives and friends.
