Dominique Dayshawn Thomas, 31, passed away on September 6, 2024, at home in Kansas City, KS. He was born November 4, 1992, IN Kansas City, KS to Donald Thomas and Karen Joyner Hunter.
Dominique grew up in Kansas City, KS. He graduated from Oak Park High School in Kansas City, MO in 2009.
After high school, he began to work for Pizza Hut as a deliverer. He then proceeded to Dollar General and eventually was promoted to Assistant Manager. Dominique moved to Arizona to work at Amazon as a 2-order filler. He studied at UEI College in Phoenix.
He then traveled to Texas where he was a Forklift truck operator at Tyson Foods in Houston, TX. After the death of his grandmother, Dominique transferred back to Kansas City to be with his remaining family.
Dominique enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with his family and friends, especially picnics and other gatherings. He loved to cook on the grill and of course, he loved to eat. He liked working outside in the garden with his father, grandmother, brother, and aunties. Dominique enjoyed watching videos and movies. His past time favorite event was traveling, mostly taking scenic routes.
Dominique was preceded in death by his mother Karen Joyner-Hunter, and His paternal and maternal grandparents.
Dominique is survived by his parents Donald Thomas (Etta) of Kansas City, MO; daughter Alilliyanna Balmer of Kansas City, MO; brother Victor Robbins ( Angela) of Kansas City, KS; sisters LaMickael Hunter of Kansas City, KS, Jessica Floyd-Joyner of Kansas City, KS and Kayla Foster of Kansas City, MO; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephew; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
