Clifton Edgar Minor was born April 11, 1942 into a loving family with two older brothers. He was born the third child out of six children to Melwee Hopkins in Raymond T Minor.
He was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas public schools.
At 17 years old, he moved to Los Angeles California and joined the Marines in 1963.
Clifton married Maria Houston in 1982 and was blessed with a bonus son Brian Houston. They later had three beautiful daughters Julia Minor of Lenexa, KS, Crystal (Minor) Moore (Husband Erick Moore) of Kansas City, KS, and Kayla Minor of Eskridge, KS. They later divorced in 2002 but still remained friends.
He worked for the US Postal Service since 1986 until he was injured in 2005. He was disabled the rest of his life.
He was a generous and giving person. He would give you the shirt off his back. He leaves behind his grandkids Da’Mondre, Davion, KaTrina along with five bonus grandkids, two sisters, a brother and a host of other family and friends.
He loved sports and he had to have his lotta tickets every week. Most of all he loved his family and being a father/grandfather. He will be missed.
