Cathey Jo Reliford

Reflections of Life

Cathey Jo Reliford was born August 10, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the union of Doris Marie and West T. Reliford.   She is the third child of eight siblings born to this union, Joann, Calvin, Gloria, Sharon, West Jeffre, Aundrea, and Telisha (Robert Fields). Adapted siblings Vicky, and Deborah.

She was baptized at the early age of eight and was very active in church activities through her youth and journeyed since with the lord.

She attended Sumner High School, where she majored in opera.  Went on to have three children Faith, Clifford, and Imani, nine grandchildren, Raheem, Honesty, Karrington, Dezier, Zyair, Kansas, Jeremiah, Marcelious, and Amoni, one great grand, Tru, a host of relatives, friends, and associates.  She never met a stranger and made many lifelong friends wherever she went.  She loved to cook, have a good time with family and friends.  She had an influential knack at helping people understand harsh realities of life yet maneuvering through without staying stuck.

Cathey encouraged many to continue to advance while keeping things simple to find their own rhythm.  In life many creeps, walks, colors, ages have been positively changed and influenced by Cathey.  She will be, missed yet never forgotten.
