Life’s Reflections

Carl Edward “Pee Wee” Anderson was born June 3, 1955 to Jerry Anderson and Helen Dixon Anderson in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was the second child born of six children and the eldest of his five brothers.  Carl was known to all as “Pee Wee” and was loved by all.  He accepted Christ at an early age at Strangers Rest Baptist Church.

He attended the Kansas City, Kansas Schools District, graduating from Argentine High School “Class of 1973”.  He graduated from Donnelly College with an Associate Degree.  “Pee Wee” later join the Army in 1973 and became a sharpshooter and traveled to Germany while on his tour of duty.  He was discharged in 1975.

“Pee Wee’s” sister, Sheila taught all her brothers how to two-step and Mr. Pee Wee mastered the two step dance and was known as the “Two-Step King”.  He had a big personality and met no strangers.

“Pee Wee” was employed at General Motors for 15 years and retired after 25 years from Kellogg in Fairfax.

He met Cecilia Belton and later was united in holy matrimony and they were together for 40 years.

Carl “Pee Wee” Anderson departed this life Saturday, September 19, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Anderson; his mother, Helen Anderson; a  brother, Darryle Anderson; his maternal grandmother; Eva Mae Banks; and maternal grandfather Willie Dixon.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his wife, Cecilia Anderson; four sons; Amari “Snoopy "Bush (Tiffany); Torrence Allen, Sr. (Kizzy); Tama Bush (Deasiray); and Cyjuan Anderson all of  Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Sheila Persley (Dale); three brothers; David Anderson (Angelia); James Anderson I; and Roger Anderson all of  Kansas City, Kansas; one aunt, Phyllis Morrison; six grandchildren, Torrence Allen, Jr.; I’Ryan Allen; Antonio Singleton; Brittany Bush; Simone Mitchell; Camille Bush; and a host of other relatives and friends.
