Her Story
Thirty-one years ago on December 28, Brittany Rahneice was born to Deidra Thompson and Earl McDonald at Providence Medical Center in KCK. She was their special Christmas gift, and was the true gift of love to her maternal grandparents, Nancy (Baw-Baw) and Butch (Paw-Paw) Bagwell, who were waiting to receive her in heaven with open arms.
Brittany accepted Christ at a young age and remained a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church until she received her angel wings. Even during the most tumultuous times, she always professed her belief and love for the Lord.
She lived a full life with many ups and downs, but she always found the bright side to every situation. Her smile was contagious. She was loved by so many and her family has received an overwhelming outpouring of love and support
She was the mother of four children, Trennadi, Cheyenne, who preceded her in death, AJ, and her newest addition, A'Niya with whom she was only able to share a few special memories. She loved her children and shared the raising of them with her incredible mother.
Brittany had a love for basketball and played on her middle and high school teams. She also loved to dance and would stop and do her dance at a moment's notice or when encouraged to do so!
She had a myriad of jobs, but the one she fondly coveted was working at her mother's daycare. The children adored her and she always left the daycare sparkling clean and full of laughter.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children; mom and dad, Deidra and Tim Byrd; father, Earl McDonald, Sr. (Linda Myrick); sisters, Lyric Byrd and Kennadi Byrd; brother, Izaiah Thompson and nephew, Mason; half-sisters, Aunia McDonald and Raven Jones, half-brothers, Earl McDonald, Jr., Andre' McDonald, Timothy Jones and Lance Jones; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Janie McDonald; beloved aunts and uncles (surrogate parents), Diana and Jeff Moody and Sondra and Kenn Mitchell; great aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Brittany will be sorely missed, but we know that she is safe in God's arms.
