Life Reflections
Bobby Williams was born April 1, 1947 to Hildred Williams and Coreatta (Arrington) Thompson in Conway, Arkansas. Transitioned on August 18, 2020 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Bobby attended Pine Street Elementary School in Conway, Arkansas. After the family relocated to Kansas City, Kansas he continued his education at Northeast Junior High School in Kansas City, Kansas. His class members, remember Bobby, as being considerate, respectful, intelligent, studious and a loyal friend they considered it a privilege to have known Bobby. He was very popular at Northeast Junior High School, he played on the Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball Teams and was The Class President in his freshman year. Bobby completed his education at Sumner High School, graduated in 1966.
Bobby was drafted the United States Army in 1969 serving for two years, and three years in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged 1975. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense MEDAL Expert (Rifle).
During his lifetime Bobby worked for Sunshine Biscuit, Sunflower Ammunition Plant, Inland Storage and Wilson Foods up until his illness in 2007. Bobby was very sentimental and loved the Lord, we would sit around and listen to gospel songs for hours. He was an avid sports fan, also loved watching sports both old and new.
Bobby is survived by his sons, Kenneth Williams; Tyrone Williams (Laquisha) of Kansas City, Missouri and Darryl Williams of California; his daughter, Felicia Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri; his brother, Derrick Thompson; sisters, Patricia Williams; Mary Jo Hooks; Jolerietta Allen; and Janice Richmond (Joseph); all of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, DeAndre Williams (Brittney); Marc Smith; and Michela White; 12 great grandchildren (3 boys and 9 girls); a host of other relatives.
