Berneda D'Anne Johnson

Berneda D'Anne "Bunny" Johnson , of Kansas, passed away on April 24, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Berneda was born in Scott, Mississippi in 1940. She attended Wichita State University for two years before beginning her career at AT&T where she eventually retired as an accountant. Berneda was known for her kind and gentle nature, as well as her unique sense of humor and sarcastic wit. Those lucky enough to be around her also recall the delightful smell of her baking and the way she took immense pride in taking care of her loved ones.

Berneda is survived by her husband, Max Johnson; her son, Kenny Johnson; her sister, Sybil Ivey; and her grandchildren, Jordyn,   Lincoln, and Lennox. Berneda was preceded in death by her mother, Willa Mae Cooper; her father, James Cooper. A memorial service for Berneda will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church on Saturday , May 6th at 10am. Family and friends are invited to attend to pay their respects.
