Baron Herman Obituary

Baron Clark Herman, 81, passed away Friday January 2,2026 at his home in Kansas City, MO. He was born June 14, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to Alonzo and Marceline Cooper Herman.

Baron grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from J.C. Harmon (formerly Argentine) High School in Kansas City, Kansas. After High School he immediately went on to United States Army in 1965 to serve for 7 years. He served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1971.

He went on to work at Research Medical Hospital as a Physical Therapist where he worked faithfully for 40 years. He retired in 2010 after 40 years. He gave frequently to charitable organizations the Kansas City police department, Boystown, Salvation Army and the Native American foundation.

Baron married Mae in 1969 in Kansas City, Kansas. They were married 42 years until death separated them in 2021. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, horseshoes, dominoes, softball and hunting. He also received rewards while working at Research Medical Center such as employee of the month.

Baron was preceded in death by his wife Mae Herman, his mother and father Alonzo and Marceline Cooper Herman, his brother Merrill Herman and daughter Gloria Neal. Baron is survived by his children Kevin Herman (Vicki), Bonita Jones, Victor Neal and grandchildren Jasmine Neal, Brandon Neal, Santesa Gentry (Cameron), Kayla Neal, Kyle Jones, and great grandchildren Paul, Ma'Siya, Mylee Glover, Davonte', DaRiya, Riley, Destinee, Desirae Jones and Mason Grigsby.
