Life’s Reflections

Barbara J. Allen was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 10, 1948 and she passed away September 11, 2020 surround by her family.

She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age at Freeman Ave. Church of God.

She graduated from Sumner High School in 1966.

She is described by her family as always caring, beautiful, Mama, loving, giving, wonderful, present, perfect, glowing, glamorous, radiant, lovely, bold, compassionate, strong, vibrant, forgiving, helping, friend, businesswoman and woman of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Carter F. Allen; father, Mr. James Walton; brother, Mr. Kevin Adams; and sister, Mrs. Lillian McConico.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, mother, Alice Adams; children, Stephanie (Carlos) Burdine, Slidell, Louisiana; Lee Dias; Ivan Dias; and Bayouan Dias all of Kansas  City, Kansas; stepchildren, Jimmy Rowlett, Dallas, Texas; Wanza Moore Carrollton, Texas; Temisha Rowlett, Waxahachie, Texas;  Kenneth (Anissa) Allen, Frisco, Texas; Chandra “Peaches” Allen;  and Sharissa Allen, both of Plano, Texas; brothers, Ronald (Beverly) Adams; and Arnold (Shirley) Adams, all of Kansas City, Kansas; sisters, Cathy (James Sr.) Davis, Overland Park, Kansas; Denise Adams (Eric Crosby); and sister in law Jennifer (Kevin) Adams, all of Kansas City, Kansas. In addition, she leaves a host of wonderful uncles, aunts, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
