Arthur Earl Washburn, 73, passed away on June 21, 2023, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Ks he was born on August 16, 1949, in Berwyn, IL to Albert and Betty Baker Washburn.
He graduated from Lawson High School in Lawson, MO in 1968. After high school, he attended MBC CamPen Calif. Administrative School-4 weeks – 1968, MCI Wash DC – Land Navigation (03.28) 1971, MCI Wash DC Land Mine warfare- 1971. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and served for 3 years. He served in Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medical w/2, Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit Citation of the Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960, Pistol Badge (Expert) “Cont. Item 30 and Rifle Badge (Expert) , Good Conduct Medal Period Commences: June 28, 1971. He was Discharged in 1971, achieving the rank of Sgt.
Arthur married Tammy in 2002 in Eureka Springs, AR. They were happily married for 21 years. He enjoyed traveling.
Arthur was preceded in death by his Parents, Albert and Betty Washburn, Sisters, Cloterillo, LaRocca, and Granddaughter, Allana Jamie Mohler.
Arthur is survived by his beloved wife Tammy of Kansas City, Ks; Sons/Daughters, Lee, Sarah (Travis), Allen (Stevie), Holly, Tylan ( Kristen), and Travis (Allysa).
One brother, Roy ( Kathy); and one sister Betty; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. And nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
