Arnold Lee Sublett, Sr., 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Kansas City, Kansas, on April 25, 2026. A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Arnold was born on July 29, 1948, to Harry and Idella (Ansley) Sublett.
A proud graduate of Wyandotte High School, Arnold continued his education at Kansas City, Kansas Community College before answering the call to serve his country. In 1966, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served with honor for three years. A veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart, Arnold achieved the rank of Corporal before his honorable discharge in 1969.
Following his military service, Arnold dedicated 39 years to Procter & Gamble, where he was a respected member of the warehouse team until his retirement in 2015.
In 2001, Arnold married the love of his life, Nadine Coolidge. Together, they shared 25 years of happiness and devotion. Arnold was a man of many passions; he was involved in several motorcycle clubs, riding with the Street Veterans MC, Brotherhood MC, and the Hell Lovers MC. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, playing a spirited game of cards, or partying with family and friends, Arnold brought energy and heart to every room he entered. His character and resilience were further recognized by a Certificate of Honor from KC Hospice.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Idella Sublett; his daughter, Tara Lynn Coolidge; his great-granddaughter, MyKhiyah Chinn; his brother, Lendell Sublett; his sister, Darrell Sublett; and his loyal friend, James "Bird" Guess.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Nadine Sublett of Kansas City, KS; his daughter, Tracie Coolidge of Kansas City, MO; and his siblings, Kenneth (Valerie) Sublett of Kansas City, MO, Mark Sublett of CA, Sandra Newson, Sheila Davis of Kansas City, KS, Beverly Sublett of Denver, CO and Toni Smith-Sublett of MD; his six grandchildren, DeShaun Carter, Demitrius Coolidge, Eddie Lamb, William Henderson, Tiara Nunnelly, and Chelsea Walker; and his six great-grandchildren, Eyce, Zaiden, Savaiyah, Serenity, Karson, and Samoni.
