Reflections of Life
Alvoid Pilot III was born on October 14, 1957 to RosaLee Webb Pilot and Alvoid Pilot Jr. at Douglas Hospital, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life on November 15, 2019 in Olathe, Kansas He was the middle of seven children. He was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas Public School System. He was nicknamed “Wimpy” by his grandfather because of his of love for hamburgers.
While visiting Kansas City, Kansas in December 1985, he met Cheryl René Walters. They dated for only a couple of months and were then married on July 5, 1986. They were married for 33 years of endless love. They were best friends and one was rarely seen without the other. They had two children, Alexandria René Pilot and Alvoid Pilot IV and later were blessed with a grand-godson Zierré Anthony Brown. He was a loving and dotting father, Papa and husband and loved by all.
He worked as a car salesman for over 40 years. The majority of his career was in the Kansas City Metropolitan area, but he also worked in the Houston, Texas and Northern Virginia area. He was an exceptional salesman and very well respected in the automobile industry. He was never one to shy away from hard work. He worked many long hours and received numerous sales awards.
He had a passion for motorcycles and high-performance cars. He enjoyed Sci-fi movies and TV shows, cartoons (Tom and Jerry, and Looney Tunes), and was the biggest fan of The Andy Griffith Show and Sanford & Son. He was an exceptional hamburger connoisseur and mastered the art of his well-known “Wimpy” burgers. In his spare time, he excessively loved playing video games (Shoot Shoot and Solitare). He was a bigger than life fan, of Prince.
Al, “Wimpy” leaves to morn him, his loving wife, Cheryl R. Pilot; daughter, Alexandria R. Pilot; son, Alvoid Pilot IV; grand godson Zierré A. Brown; father, Alvoid Pilot Jr., (Jacqueline); mother, RosaLee Webb Pilot; proceeded in death, mother-in-law, Lelia B. Walters; proceeded in death, father-in-law, George E Walters Jr; proceeded in death, sisters, Harriett Johnson (Cueler); Helen McField; Brenda Biggers; proceeded in death, Iris Anderson (LaVance); and Jacqueline Pilot; brother, Rozell Nunn Jr (Glenda); sister-in-law, Cynthia Walters (David); also leaving to celebrate his life with all of his teachings, the following relatives: nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
