Tommie’s Life’s Reflections

Tommie Lee Baker, Jr. was born March 20, 1973 in Kansas City, Kansas through the loving union of Tommie Lee Baker, Sr. and Gladys Sue (Hall) Baker.  He was raised with God, family, friends and abundant love as major influences over his life.

Tommie attended schools in the Kansas City Kansas School District and graduated from Harmon High School.

Tommie worked at Hiland Diary for several years. He jokingly called him the “Milk Man.”

Tommie had very special bond with his parents, family and friends, which surpasses this life. He loved football, especially enjoyed watching the “Chiefs.” He loved playing dominoes and talking stuff to keep you laughing.  His smile was affectionate, and he was very well unknown and loved for his personality. Some people called him Lil Tommie or Tommie and if you were a friend of his, then you were family.

Tommie passed from this earth, into eternity on Sunday, January 7, 2018, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Tommie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ollie and Gladys Baker and Dean Baker; his maternal grandparents, Norman and Lucille Hall; aunts, Sheila Graves, Diane Patrick, and Leona Baker; uncles, Lonnie Baker, James Baker and Herman Baker; and cousins, Trashonda Hall, Timothy Scott, Isaac Scott, Mary Scott, Houvener Anderson, Trina Lewis, and Brenetta & Bernadette Lewis.

Tommie leaves to sustain and cherish his memory his daughters, Tamisha Baker and Tiaria Union; son, Traevon Baker; loving parents, Tommie and Gladys Baker; grandchildren, Mi’cah Union, Miric Spencer and Antwuan Taylor Jr; special sister, Shonetta Hall; special uncles, Joe Baker, Kerry Baker and Walter Hall; Fiancée, Dena Estell; little furry friend, Biscuit; and a host other wonderful cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
