Regina McNeal Obituary

In Loving Memory

Ms. Regina (Gina) McNeal was born October 5, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jonell P. Berry-McNeal and Johnny McNeal.

Gina was a life-long Christian and member of Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kansas City, Kansas.  Gina began her schooling at Graceland Elementary School in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Kansas City, Kansas.  After moving to Kansas City, Kansas she attended Stony Point North Elementary School, Arrowhead Junior High School and graduated from Washington High School Class of 1978. After graduation, she attended Kansas City, Kansas Community College.

She later went on to work at J C Penney, then began her career at Sprint where she worked for over 20 years.  While at Sprint, she transferred to Sacramento, California where she lived for 12 years before returning to Kansas City.    After leaving Sprint due to corporate downsizing she worked at Apria and then Cerner Corporation, where she was employed at the time of her passing.

Gina was a lover of all things music and could be found at nearly every big concert or musical play that came to town.  Gina also enjoyed traveling with friends and family and most recently went on a seven-day Caribbean Cruise with family.  Anyone who knows Gina also knows she had an infectious laugh and big personality.

Gina LOVED her family and her family LOVED her!  She dedicated her life to being the best daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin she could be. She was very active in the lives of her niece and nephews and treated them like they were her own.  She bragged about them to everyone that would listen.  That caring attitude transferred to her friends, who LOVED her and could always count on her.

Gina was preceded in death by her mother, Jonell P. McNeal.

Gina leaves behind to cherish her memory: her father Johnny McNeal; brother, Terrol McNeal (Lori), sister, Rhonda K. Mason (Scott); sister, MeShanna Jackson-Brown; one niece, Tierra McNeal; two nephews, Bryce C. Mason and Aaron “A.J.” Mason and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends who LOVE her.
