Maxine Brown Wooton 77, passed away February 9, 2018 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Maxine was born August 11, 1940 in Earle, Arkansas to Jessie Brown and Ella Mae Benimon Brown. She was raised by Gussie Hightower in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1958. She received her Cosmetology Degree from Sumner High School before graduating.
Maxine worked for The Boy Scouts of America as a Clerk for several years, then she worked for the Wooton Day Care Home. She was very involved in the church.
She married Robert L. Wooton in Long Beach, California, they were happily married for many years until her death.
Maxine enjoy music and dancing.
Preceding Maxine in death her siblings, Lovie; Tommy; Mildred; Armazell; Erma Clay.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert L. Wooton of Overland Park, Kansas; sons, Robert A. Wooton (Giau) of Olathe, Kansas; Robin Wooton of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter, Stefanie Wooton of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Daniel Anderson; Victoria Anderson; James Anderson; Scott Wooton; Michaela Smith; Rob Wooton; Dorian Wooton-January; and Ross Wooton; a host of relatives and friends.
