Kevin Pennington

Life’s Reflections

Kevin Pennington was born January 8, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas to Elizabeth and Lonnell Pennington, Sr.  Both parents and four brothers precede him in death.

He accepted Christ at an early age at the Eight Street Baptist Church.

Kevin attended Kansas City, Kansas Public School.  He attended Wichita State University.  He was a member of KAPPA ALPHA PSI.  Kevin was a lifeguard for the YMCA.

He was employed by Bethany Medical Center, Inland Quarries, B/E Aerospace, Inc., Sor, Inc., and Home Depot in Shawnee, Kansas.  He was a member of Local #663 Labor’s Union.

Kevin was kind and loving.  He did not want anyone to worry about him.  He loved to joke, and   Kevin was shy.  Kevin loved a challenge and would be determined to remedy it.

He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Elmer Bass; two sisters, Zana Pennington-Shain; Sharon Johnson Cherry; sister-in-law, Phyllis Pennington; six nephews, Michael Pennington; Timothy Pennington; Jonathan Pennington; Malcolm Bass; Michael Bass and Carlos Merriman; one niece, Felicia Pennington; life long friends, Phillip Hill, Sr. and Chester Clemons; a host of other family and friends.
