Katherine (Kearse) Idleburg

Life Reflections

Katherine Idleburg, 86, passed away September 22, 2017 in Olympia, Washington.  She was born May 25, 1931 to Thomas and Ethyl Kearse in Kansas City, Missouri.  She lived in Kansas City Kansas, from 1958 to August 2016.  She lived with her son in Olympia, WA for the last 13 months.

Katherine graduated from Lincoln High School, and earned her BA and MA in Education from the University of Kansas.  She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years.  Katherine married Joshua B. Idleburg on August 4, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, basketball, and volleyball.  She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son; Gary L. Idleburg; daughter, Carol Y. Idleburg; and sisters, Rochelle Sanders and Jenette Harris.
