Her Story

Joyce Ann (Thomas) Foster passed away on Jan 18, 2019 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.  Joyce was born on July 10, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama.  She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Sumner High School in 1967.  She began working for BNSF Railroad as a dispatcher and was there for 32 years.  She retired in 2010.

Joyce married Leonard Foster and they were for 40 years.  Before being called home, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  She was very strong and full of LOVE.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Leonard Foster, of Kanas City, Kansas; her sons, Maurice Thomas of Lawrence, Kansas; and Lester Foster of Kansas City, Kansas; her daughter, Tamashya Foster of Kansas City, Kansas; her grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. 

She is now welcomed home by her passed loved ones.
