James Author Hamilton was born January 1, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of Anderson Hamilton and Effie Lee Boykin.
James grew up in Kansas City and attended the Kansa City, Kansas Public School District.
He retired from Aleatel-Lucent after 30 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
James accepted Christ at an early age.
James recently move back from Columbus, Ohio where he lived for over 40 years to be near his family.
James transitioned from this earthly place on Saturday July 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary B. Ray-Grant; Joann Ray Elbert; Tarline Maxwell; two brothers, Raymond Hamilton; and Floyd Hamilton.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories a friend and roommate for over 20 years, Bobby Fisher of Independence, Missouri; three sisters, Theresa Seamster of Denver, Colorado; Wanda Harris of Kansas City, Kansas; Gwen Thomas of Kansas City, Kansas one brother, Matthew Hamilton of Kansas City, Missouri; a host of 1st 2nd, and 3rd generation of nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
