Life’s Reflection

Edwin Jewel Powell was born on August 13, 1971 in Kansas City, Kansas to Bobby J. Dias and Vivian J. Powell.

Edwin grew up Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from J C Harmon High School in Kansas City, Kansas with the Class of 1991.  After high school he began to work for Morgan Distributions where he worked as a Door Glass Maker for 4 years. He also was a self-employed Audio Technician for more than 20 years.

He confessed his faith at an early age and was baptized and became a member of First Baptist Church.  In 2014, he became a Deacon at First Baptist.

Edwin Jewel Powell, 47 passed away on February 4, 2019 at Parkway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville, Kansas.  Edwin was preceded in death by his father Bobby J. Dias.

Edwin leaves to cherish his memories, his love, and his joy he brought to his mother, Vivian J. Powell of Cedar Park, Texas; siblings, Richard Powell (LaShawn) of Leander, Texas; and Edward Powell of Kansas City, Kansas; his 3 nephews; 18 cousins and other relatives.

His family and friends will always remember him as a caring person.
