His Story
Clifton was born January 15, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas to Harold and Etta Ferguson Russell. He grew up in the Kansas City, Kansas area, he graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas in the Class of 1969. After high school he attended University of Missouri Kansas City, in Kansas City, Missouri where he received an Associates Degree in Arts. He began to work for Americold as a Forklift Driver for fifteen years. He retired from work in 2003 after thirty-four years.
Clifton married Linda Russell in 1995 in Kansas City, Kansas they were happily married for twenty-three years.
He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. Clifton loved his children and he loved anything about space. He loved Star Trek, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. He liked working on cars, listening to music, playing dominoes, talking, and smoking meats.
Clifton Edward Russell 67, passed away April 29, 2018 at the University of Kansas Health Systems in Kansas City, Kansas.
Clifton was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Russell; his mother, Etta Russell.
Left to cherish his memories his wife, Linda Mae Middleton Russell; his daughters, Marissa Russell; Linda Jackson; Tamika Jackson; and Tanshea Jackson; sons, Christopher Russell; Wayman Jackson, III; and Dennis Jackson; his seventeen grandchildren; and his two great grandchildren; his sister, Roxanne Admoni; six nieces; nine nephews; thirteen great nieces; five great nephews; brothers-in-law, David Middleton; John Middleton; and Levi Middleton; sister-in-law, Cynthia Middleton; and fifteen cousins.
Clifton will be loved, missed and remembered in our hearts forever.
