HENRY V. JONES

Henry V. Jones (Hank) was born in Kansas City, Kansas, November 2, 1961, to Henry J. Jones and Loris J. Vincson Jones. 

Henry was educated in the Wyandotte County School District. He attended Quindaro Elementary School, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, and graduated from Bishop Ward High School. He later attended Kansas State University where he studied Agriculture Landscaping.

He was employed with the Unified Government, Parking Control Department as a Security Guard and later became a Parking Control Officer I for over 39 years.  He owned a lawncare business for over 25 years, where he served the metropolitan area.

In 2003, Henry received a commendation letter for his job performance, commitment, and most of all his personal integrity and honesty to the citizens.

As a child, he attended Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, KCK and later in life he attended New Hope Baptist Church in Russ, MO.

He was known for his love of the Kansas City Chiefs. Henry had a love for farming, lawncare, going to the gyn, traveling and dancing.

Henry was very outgoing and loved meeting people. He was loved by many and his presence will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Loris J. Jones, special cousin Jacquelyn Vincson, and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lula Mae Jones, father Henry J. Jones,  and aunt Verdell Crider.

Henry transitioned to glory on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at KU Medical Center.
