Helen Marie Manning-Coleman was born May 26, 1940, in Kansas City, Kansas, she was the second youngest of five, born to the late Anna Marie and Johnnie D. Wakefield.
Helen attended summer High school, graduating class of 58. She was a general laborer, obtaining many skills through various positions and finally retiring from Cramer Industrial Company.
Helen gave birth to seven children, but she raised eleven. She cared for many more throughout her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husband of many years Donald Coleman; her parents Anna Marie and Johnnie D. Wakefield; her brothers George and Benjamin Wakefield; her sister Johnetta Wakefield; her niece Patrice Wakefield; her nephews Alvin Wakefield, Leroy Wakefield, Alivn C. Wakefield, Andre C. Kimbly; and special son Randy Bigge.
Helen leaves to mourn one bother James D. Wakefield of Fredericksburg, VA; four sons Leroy McElroy, George Manning, Dezerro Smith, and Salverio Wakefield; three daughters Deborah (Jerome) Cunningham, Sharon Manning, and Tina Manning all of Kansas City, KS; special kids Wendy Ross, David Bigge and Roger Bigge; and a host of other relatives and friends.
