Loretta “Cookie” Stevenson was born in Kansas City, Kansas. Cookie loved to bowl; she participated in sports in college; she also loved to shop. During the day she would not be caught doing anything other than watching The Young and the Restless. She retired from Environmental Protection Agency in 1998. Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Goldston and nephew Percy McCoy, III.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory; sisters, Debra Terry (James) of Davenport, Iowa; Jacqueline McCoy of Tacoma, Washington; brothers, Willard Burrell of Tacoma, Washington; Maurice Burrell of Kansas City, Kansas; a host of nieces and nephews. Loretta also had extended family, Russell and Barbara Clark, Laron Hill, Nathaniel Hill, RuShonda Clark, Russell Clark, Jr., and two great nephews Germiah and Dashawn Clark.

Although I am very saddended to learn of my dearest sister's death, I can only remember the great sense of humor she had and the wonderful moments we had growing up together. Loretta, affectionately known as Cookie to family and close friends I love you very much and you will always be in my heart and memories forever. To my extended family, Maurice, Jackie, Debbie and Willard you are in my prayers I love you and wish I could be there with you today. You sister Ann Lockett-Jack Oceanside, California
