WILLA MAE WALKER
WILLA MAE WALKER, age 80, of Kansas City, Kansas died on August 20, 2015. She was born on April 20, 1935 in Tarry, Arkansas to Will and Maudy Mae Dickinson Kirby.
Willa grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended Kanas City Kansas Public Schools. Willa married Leon Matthew Walker in 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for 25 years. Willa enjoyed her family, traveling and helping others.
After graduation she worked for Central Bag Company as a machine turner where she worked for sixteen years. In addition, she worked for Blessed Sacrament School and for Wyandotte County Department of the Aging for fifteen years. She retired in 2005.
Willa was preceded in death by her parents; Will and Maudy Kirby and her husband; Leon M. Walker.
She is survived by her sons; Walter Earl Strickland, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Leon Anthony Walker of Kansas City, Kansas;, grandchildren; Jason Strickland, Armonde Xavier Walker, Anthony Mckenzie Walker, Koiton Ajaun Walker; cousin, RaQeisha Portly; "special friend", James Ever of Kansas City, Kansas, her "special friend", James Ever of Kansas City, Kansas good friend; Pam Brown, and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
