Rolinda (Griffin) Lewis

Life’s Reflection

Rolinda Griffin Lewis was born December 12, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Henry and Edna Griffin.

Rolinda attended Attucks Grade School and Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kansas.  After completing high school, she united in matrimony to Teliastus Lewis, Sr. From this union five children were born.

Rolinda was employed at Brand and Puritz as a seamtress and continued her career at Simmons Mattress Company until her retirement.

She united with Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Robert Milan, Jr., where she worked in the nursery ministry until her health declined.  Her hobbies included sewing, gardening and cooking.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories;     her loving children, Regina Lewis and Veronica Munos (Zano) of Kansas City, Kansas; Teliastus Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK; Dennis Lewis of Blue Springs, Missouri; and Frank Lewis of San Francisco, California; and one cherished son, Joe Allen, Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas; (21)          grandchildren; (3) brothers, James E. Griffin, Sr. (Altheria) of Kansas City, Kansas, Henry W. Griffin (Shirley) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Andrew L. Griffin ,Phoenix, Arizona a sister, Roberta Sinclair of Raytown, Missouri; a host of other relatives and friends.
