His Life Story

Rafael Valdez 83 passed away on September 20, 2017 at 11:26 A.M. at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was born on January 15, 1934 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Estanilado and Maria Morreal Valdez.  Rafael grew up in Zacatecas, Mexico where he worked hard to help provide for his family.  He came to the United States, and began work for Corporate Maintenance as a laborer, where he worked for 14 years.  Rafael retired in 2001.

Rafael married Angelina Camacho in 1990 and they were happily married for 27 years.  Rafael enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Rafael was preceded in death by his father and mother, Estanilado and Maria Morreal Valdez; his first wife, Isabel Valdez; his two sisters, Portiria Valdez; and Leondra Davila; three of his brothers, Antonio Valdez; Miguel Valdez; and Marcelino Valdez.

Rafael is survived by his spouse, Angelina Valdez; his daughter, Maria Valdez; his sons, Miguel Valdez; Tino Valdez; Rafael Valdez, Jr.; his brothers, Ascencion Valdez and Mauro Valdez; his grandchildren, Angelica Kollman; Vanessa Kollman; Raul Salinas; Cynthia Valdez; Claudia Valdez; Reno Valdez; Jesse Valdez; Miguel Valdez, Jr.; Michelle Valdez; Maritza Valdez; and his nine great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
