Life’s Reflections

Pearlie Mae Randle-Richmond-Hayes was born October 5, 1950 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to John and Myrtis Lee Randle.  Her father; mother; brother, Ronald Randle; grandmother, Eva Mae Bullock; step grandfather, Louis Bullock; paternal grandfather, Abraham Jones, step grandmother, Mattie Mae Jones; Uncle Bennie Bullock; and paternal great grandmother, Georgia Prater; affectionately called Big Momma, preceded her in death.

The family moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1957.  Pearlie received her education through the Kansas City, Kansas School System.  She graduated from Argentine High School and received her Associates degree from Kansas City Community College.  Pearlie joined the Armed Forces and spent two years in the Air Force.

Pearlie accepted Christ as her savior at an early age at Second Metropolitan Baptist Church.  She loved to sing and was an active member in the Junior and Senior Choirs.  Pearlie attend Greater Pentecostal Church for period of time as well as Lenexa Christian Center.  Pearlie loved going to church and truly believed in and loved God with all her heart.

Pearlie worked at KU Medical Center for 20 years as a Phlebotomist.  She continued her profession with St. Luke’s Medical Center where she retired.  Pearlie loved her job and was known as the person who could stick you just right and get the samples needed with little effort while minimizing any discomfort.

Pearlie loved and was devoted to her family.  Pearlie was affectionately called “Sister”, but she was more like a little momma, that always looked out for her brothers and sister.  She would do anything she could, (fight, pray, sing, cry, or give her last dime).  She did the best she could raising her boys the old school way with love and discipline.

Life’s battle has been fought, and the victory was achieved for Pearlie on Friday, September 18, 2015, when her ticket was punched and she boarded the plane flying first class on to Glory.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: three sons, Elder Michael Randle, Associate Pastor of The Greater Pentecostal Temple; Robert Richmond; and Marcus Richmond; one sister, Patricia Branch (Rich); four brothers, John Randle, Jr. (Jan); Tommy Randle (Debbie); Anthony Randle; and Andre Randle (Monica); two aunts, Ruthie Burnett; and Joyce Downs; three uncles, Abraham Jones, III; Cleothus Jones; and Willis K. Jones; 5 grandsons’ 13 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; and host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
