Naomi Elizabeth (Walker) McAnderson

Life’s Reflections

Mrs. Naomi Elizabeth McAnderson., was born on December 24, 1917 in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was the only child born to the union of Hooper Allie Walker and Mary Ella Young-Walker. 

She married Augustus Riley McAnderson, Sr. in January 24, 1946 to this union two children were born. 

Naomi was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas.  She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity through her work as an Office Manager for Dr. C. W. Alexander for more than 40 years.

She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and a member of the “First AME Church on 8th & Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas.

She passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2015, she was 97 years old.  Her parents and a stepson Augustus Riley McAnderson, Jr. preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories; two children, Rosa Lee McAnderson Elmore; and Marvin Alfred McAnderson (Kathy S. McAnderson); three grandchildren, Tina Nwogor (Prince Nwogor);  Kimberly Shrette McAnderson-Carter (George William Carter, III); Michael Avery McAnderson; great grandchildren, Robyn Smith (Anthony Smith); Elijah Carter (Jonelle Carter); and George William Carter, IV;  and cousins, Peggy; Larry; Joyce; and a host of  other relatives and friends.
