Lennie Brown was born on August 6, 1954 in Bonita, Louisiana. The sixth child born (her twin brother was born fifth), to Alfred Brown and Sammie Mae (Adrow) Brown, she journey to enteral life on April 12, 2017, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Brown; Sammie Mae Brown; brother Johnnie Mac Brown; sisters, Bonnie Ann Martin; Glory Den Brown; nephew, Michael Reed, Sr. Ricky Sims, Jr. and Michael Reed, Jr.
Lennie moved from Bonita, Louisiana to Dumas, Arkansas in 1957 and received her education in Dumas, Arkansas. Then relocated to Kansas City, Kansas in 1981. And was a resident here for 43 years. She rededicated her life and was baptized at New Bethel Church in 2015 (which she loved and feared the Lord), during her life time, she worked at The YMCA, Empire Candle, Civic Center Hotel. Lennie loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and friends, she enjoyed cooking, and listening to music so she could dance.
Lennie leaves to carry on her legacy her kids, Marvette Miller; Everette M. Brown; Amy Davis; Bobbie Shine; her grandkids, Jeremy Miller; Iesha Seahorn; Ahmad Benson; Aaron Epps, Jr.; Anya Davis; Ka’Leisha Shine’ Everette Brown, II; D’Marrion Shine; Mon’Terrion Shine; and Kijara Goodman; great granddaughter, Indya Seahorn; her sisters, Ozell Brown; Peggy Brown; and Patricia Hughes (Ray); brothers, Bennie Brown; Karl Lee Brown (Faye); a host of nieces, nephews, and a lot of friends.
