Life’s Reflection

Jose Raul Fonseca Pagani “Papi” was born in October 18, 1931 to Jose Fonseca and Rafaela Pagani in Puerto Rico. He passed on October 17, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He lived in Puerto Rico all his life until moving to Dayton, OH in November 1999.  He lived a short time in Orlando, FL; moved to Kansas City, KS in April 2009.

He married the love of his life, Petra E. Magris in 1959. Out of their union, they had three loving daughters: Emma, Enid and Eda. They were married 57 years.  He was a good son, brother, husband and father.

His work life ranged from being self-employed to government worker retiring in 1996. He enjoyed music, dancing and working on cars.

His memory will last in the hearts of his wife, Petra; his loving daughters, Emma (John Bassett), Enid (Pedro Pinero), Eda (Harold Vazquez); his granddaughters, Maria Hughes, Enid Rodriguez, Alina Vazquez and Eliana Rodriguez; his grandsons, Daniel Vazquez, Juan Bassett, David Vazquez, Harry Rodriguez and Gabriel Vazquez; eight great grandchildren; brother, Oscar Fonseca; sister, Noemi Fonseca and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Papi loved his family and he was loved by all who were part of his life.  We will miss you!

Jose Raul Fonseca Pagani nacio el 18 de octubre de 1931 en Puerto Rico.  Sus padres fueron Jose Fonseca y Rafaela Pagani. El tuvo dos hermanas y un hermano.  Jose murio el 17 de octubre de 2016.

El vivio en Puerto Rico toda su vida hasta que se mudo a los Estados Unidos en 1999. El vivio en Ohio, Florida y Kansas donde fallecio en la ciudad de Merriam. 

Petra Magris fue el amor de su vida. Se casaron el 4 de abril de 1959. De esa union nacieron tres hijas que llenaron sus dias de alegria y satisfaccion. El matrimonio duro por 57 anos.

El trabajo toda su vida hasta retirarse en el 1996 compo empleado de gobierno.  Le gustaba la musica, irse de baile y arreglar carros.

Su memoria permanecera en los corazones de su esposa, Petra y sus hijas queridas; Emma (John) Bassett, Enid (Pedro) Pinero, Eda (Harold) Vazquez; sus nietas, nietos, biznietos; el resto de la familia y amigos.

Papi queria mucho a su famila y todos que lo conocieron lo apreciaban muchisimo. Papi, te vamos a extranar!
