Garcelle’s Life Reflection

Garcelle Bernae’ Gray was born March 18, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri at Menorah Medical Center to Gregory and Michell Gray. To her family and friends, she was affectionately known as Garci.

Garci was taught to love the Lord at an early age being a member of the Church of Second Chances and Memorial Church International.  She was educated in the Jackson, Mississippi and Kansas City, Kansas school systems.  Garci furthered her education at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

In January 2008 one of her life’s biggest blessings was born.  Garcelle and Anthony Jarrett, Sr. welcomed their son, Anthony Jarrett, Jr. into the world.  Garci was a dedicated employee of Prescription Solutions until unfortunate events with her health enabled her to work.

Garci was outspoken, compassionate and the life of the party. Hobbies included watching movies on Netflix and traveling.  She loved to spend time with her son, family, friends, and let’s not forget her pink car aka “Pinky”.

Garcelle’s journey with Lupus started in 2008.  Garci took lupus by the horns and didn’t let it get her down.  She studied lupus with every meaning of the word and educated those around her. Garci attended Lupus Awareness walks and set out to create jewelry to support the Lupus Foundation.  In 2017 Garcelle teamed up with her cousin Kamiasha and began filming a documentary that talks about her life with lupus.

Preceded her in death, Father, Greg Gray; maternal grandparents, Ervin and Laura Edwards; and paternal grandparents, Joe and Bernice Gray; and bonus grandparents, Russell and Joann Wilson.

She survived by her son, Anthony Jarrett, Jr., mother, Michell Edwards; step mother, Cynthia Aron-Gray; five brothers, Antwone Brown; Raphael Gray; Robert Gray; Anton Johnson; and Roosevelt Nasiir Aron; two sisters, Brandi Gray; and Felicia Aron; father of their child and special friend, Anthony Jarrett, Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
