Life’s Reflections

Edward James Chilliest, Jr. was born in Kerr, Arkansas, August 18. 1959 to Edward James Chilliest, Sr. and Gertrude Bledsoe Williams. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Denise Haynes; grandparents, William Chilliest, Sr. and Hazel Bledsoe Hooks.

Edward graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California 1977. Sometime after High School he joined the Army in 1980.

Edward was a faithful member of St. James Non-Denomination Church.

He worked various jobs, as a Delivery Driver for two years, Churches Chicken for 3 years until he was Disabled.

He married Clara Rush and they were happily married for 14 years. Edward enjoyed singing, swimming, and playing basketball.

Edward James Chilliest, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Clara Rush Chilliest of Kansas City, Kansas; a devoted father, Edward James Chilliest, Sr.; a devoted mother, Gertrude Williams both of Kansas City, Kansas; his brothers, Leroy Williams, Sr. (Marie) of Kansas City, Kansas; and Larry Williams (Clarssia) of Raytown, Missouri; Shawn Chilliest of Boston, Massachutes; Dionne Chilliest of Los Angeles, California; and Tony Chilliest of New York; only one sister, Jacqueline Williams Scott of Kansas City, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
