Darrin Miguel Smith, 34 years old, passed away on September 1, 2015 in Kansas City, Kansas. Darrin was born on August 28, 1981 in Kansas City, Kansas to Denise Renee Ford and Darrin Nolan Smith.

Darrin “Redd” grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He received his education from Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. He attended Vatterott College and received special awards in Electrical Mechanics in 2013.

He had a big heart and would help anyone that he could. Darrin also volunteered at One Source where he would travel to disaster areas providing help to others in need. Fishing, gardening and listening to his favorite artist Rich the Factor were some of the things he enjoyed. Darrin will be remembered as being a caring person and having a generous heart. Out of everything he enjoyed; what he loved most was spending time with his family and close friends. He will be deeply missed and will live forever in our hearts.

Darrin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Lee Ford, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Ford; paternal grandparents, Nolan Sanders; Rosalie Smith; special auntie Toni Kay Smith; and two special cousins, Darrion Stallings and Corey Butler-Ford.

Darrin is survived by his mother, Denise Ford of Kansas City, Kansas; father, Darrin Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee; his brothers, Nolan Smith; Darell Smith; sisters, Shanicka Smith and Tara Ford; nephews, Elverto Davila Jr.; Eries Davila; Darell Smith; nieces, Rosalie Smith; Angelina Smith; aunts; uncles; cousins; family; friends; and two best friends, Tiara Jones; and Ronald Washington.
