Carla Yvetta McCarary

Carla Wilson-McCarary was born August 10, 1966 to the union of Willa Jean Wilson-Nunn and John Earl Nunn.  She was the first Child wo was born to this beautiful union.

Carla received her education in Kansas City, Kansas public school district.  Graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1984.  Furthering her education at Donnelly College for basic studies.  She joined Bethel Baptist Church in 2011, where she was baptized.  Carla worked at the Federal Building Café in Kansas City, Missouri until 2005.

Carla’s favorite things in life that she enjoyed the most was spending time with her kids and grandkids, that was her joy.  She loved car hoping with her kids just to go shopping any chance she got, going to the boat with Tamikia, having prayer conversations with her close friend Mrs. Jones, listening to her oldies, laughing and sharing stories with all her family and friends.  Carla loved and touched many people.  She had the golden heart with just having one conversation with her, she was guaranteed to leave a special piece of remembrance of her in your heart.

Carla is preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Tamiah Johnay Hooks; her two brothers, John Earl Nunn, Jr. and Marion Robert Wilson-Nunn.

On Thursday March 2, 2017, her beautiful soul gained its wings and she was surrounded with her loved ones.  She leaves lots of precious memories that will be cherished with her husband, Michael McCarary, San Diego, California; her three daughters, Destiny Wilson; Tamikia Wilson-Hooks (Derrick Hooks, Jr.); Sheridia Hill; her god-daughter, Ke’Shon Henderson; and son-in-law Malcolm Moore all of Kansas City, Kansas; her grandkids, Dre’Auja’Nay; Darnez; SheKaira; Niy’Asia; Maria; Vernita; Tania; Dion’Dre; NiKeeyah; and Chamya; one brother, Warren Wilson (Tonia); four sisters, Thelinthia Wilson; Vrynal Wilson-Nunn; Sadae Nunn all of Kansas City, Kansas; Natasha Nunn-Wilson (Demesho) of Maryland; two, sisters-in-law, Landria Lightfoot of Reno, La Vegas; and Beverly Whitshell of Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, her best friend who she loved and admired dearly Dwayne Roberson (Teeth); a host of family and friends.
