Barbara Anne Richardson born on August 16, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas to Walter and Lily Mae (Stuckey) Richardson.
Barbara grew up in Kansas City Kansas and attended Summer High School and was proud to be in the graduating class of 1944. After high school she attended Colorado State University in Colorado Springs for a short time and later worked for the Government in the Social Security Administration as a Supervisor where she retired after 20 years of service.
Barbara was a member of an African-American women’s social club called Club Chazzalite which hosted fashion shows, picnics and family oriented outings. She loved volunteering at Mason Memorial Methodist Church and took pride in making sure that everything went well. Her hobbies were her Family, Friends, interpretive dance and power walking.
Barbara; affectionately known as “Babs” or “Barbran”, was a great dancer and loved music.

Barbara Bennett, 89, passed away on September 21, 2015 at her home, in Kansas City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Richard T. Bennett; Barbara had two sisters she loved dearly, Hattie Willa Johnson; and Lois Watson; who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Brian J. Bennett of Olathe Kansas; Brett A. Bennett of Kansas City, Kansas; and Darryll G. Bennett of Boston, Massachusetts; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; and other family members.
