Arder Wilkins, Sr.

In Loving Memory

Mr. Arder Wilkins, Sr. arose July, 7, 1936 in the farming community of Garfield, Georgia.  He was the only boy out of (4) sisters (Georgia Bell Watson, Dorothy Burroughs, Dora Green, and Mildred Willis) of parents:  Estella and Randolph Wilkins, the first. On Monday, May 8, 2017 at 5:55p.m., he departed life at Shawnee Mission Hospice after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by both parents Estella Wilkins (mother) and Randolph Wilkins (father), Georgiabell Watson (sister) and Oliver Wilkins (son).

He was joined in holy matrimony to Deline Walker on June 21, 1954 and later moved to Columbus, OH in 1957 then settled in Kansas City in 1959.  They had five children (4) boys and (1) girl;  Oliver, Arder Jr., Glenn, Randolph, and Yvonne (Evette).

Arder was employed for 41 years at Hydro Conduit Corporation a concrete pipe plant located in Riverside, Missouri.  He was a cement pipe finisher.  He retired in July of 2000.

Arder accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in 1975 at the Freechurch of God True Holiness, under Bishop C.W. Burchette.

Arder was a fun loving brother, father, husband, uncle and grandfather.  PS 23:6 […Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of his life…]

He  leaves to cherish his memory;   His wife; Deline Wilkins; sons; Glenn Wilkins (Candice), Arder Wilkins Jr., (Debbie), and Randolph Wilkins all of Kansas City, Kansas, daughter; Yvonne Wilkins of Kansas City, Kansas;  grandchildren; Cameron, Glenn, Michelle, Brandon, Cherina, Dominique, Tony, Therron, Latisha, Bryan, Joel, Joshewa, 20 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends..
