Life’s Reflections
Annie Mae Crosby was born to Henry and Ludie Hull on May 14, 1921 in Saulsbury, Tennessee.
Annie Mae grew up in Bolivar, Tennessee and later met Dennis Crosby, Sr. in a cafe in Memphis, Tennessee. And over a bowl of chili, they instantly fell in love and were inseparable from that day forward.
They had seven children together and taught each of them to accept God into their life at an early age.
She was employed by University of Kansas Medical Center for many years until her retirement in 1982.
She was a loving, kind hearted, caring woman who always put her family before anything. She was the rock that kept the family together.
Annie Mae’s husband Dennis Crosby, Sr.; her sister, Mattie Lue Young; and her brother, George Hull, Sr.; all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 sons, Dennis Crosby, Jr (Seretha) of Detroit, Michigan; James Crosby of Kansas City, Kansas; and John Crosby (Vivian) of Kansas City, Missiouri; 3 daughters, Martha Crosby of Kansas City, Kansas; Alberta Sanders (William) of Kansas City, Missouri; and Jeanette Crosby Gilmore of Kansas City, Kansas; A host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
(John 14:13)
